Milton State School, located in the Metropolitan North Education geographic region of Queensland Australia, has begun its Cleaner Greener School journey with a 1-star rating from the environmental movement Keep Queensland Beautiful. This recognition reflects the school’s commitment to providing quality education, promoting sustainability, and fostering a supportive learning environment.
The accreditation framework acknowledges schools for their dedication to sustainable practices in six key areas: Litter, Waste, Recycling, Water, Energy, and Biodiversity, contributing to a cleaner and greener future.
Milton State School embarked on its sustainability journey by launching a Nude Food initiative and partnering with local community organisations. The school has also gained positive momentum through the development of a community garden, further strengthening its commitment to environmental sustainability.
