Sustainability and Environmental Projects
Wave of Change & Plastic for Playgrounds: A primary school environmental education program teaching students from Prep to Year 6 about plastic pollution and recycling. Funds raised through container recycling support new playground equipment.
Cup Rescue Program: A partnership with the 7-Eleven rescue program at Matilda's Cafe and staff rooms to collect and divert single-use coffee cups, drawers, and lids from landfill. The college also introduced branded reusable glasses.
EcoMarines Sustainability Club: Student-led sustainability initiatives involving wrapper-free days, litter audits, and container recycling programs.
Hydrogen Grand Prix (H2GP): A student-led clean energy STEM program where engineering teams design custom carbon-fiber components for hydrogen-powered cars.
Marine & Ocean Conservation Projects: Hands-on science week projects and lab activities (such as building "marine life machines") to collect and process plastic and rubber waste, inspiring student ocean leadership.
Global Innovators Project: Year 5 student initiatives exploring the United Nations' Global Goals for Sustainable Development.
